I am an experienced relationship therapist at Relate, and I also work with private clients. I have over 15 years of specialised experience of working with both couples and individuals. I have also trained with the Tavistock Centre to work with couples affected by depression/anxiety, and have previously worked with families affected by a loved ones addiction to drugs or alcohol.
As an integrative therapist I make use of a wide variety of different elements from many types of therapies, which include psychodynamic, person-centred, systemic, cognitive behavioural and solution focused brief therapy, all of which allow me to be flexible and tailor my approach to the needs and personal circumstances of every client.
I regularly work with clients to help them make sense of a wide variety of issues such as addiction, mental health issues, managing conflict, trauma, separation/divorce, infidelity, bereavement, and I have specialist training in working with couples affected by Aspergers/Autism.
I am an Accredited Registered Member of the National Counselling Society
I work within the NCS ‘Ethical Framework for Counsellors’, in which client confidentiality is maintained fully.
I comply with current data protection legislation and the security of client information is of upmost importance. My practice is fully insured.
I work within the NCS Guidelines for Online Counselling and I am trained to work online and via telephone, and have qualifications in Online and Telephone Counselling.
I am also an accredited Mediator and hold an Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner Certificate (IMPC) via
The International Mediation Institute.
